Why host an image?

Note : For the people who already know how to host an image, you may go on to the next step.

This step won't teach you how to code HTML but rather tell you how to host your pictures and gifs. It will be necessary for the next step where you will learn you to place your pictures and gifs in your sale page.

Why host??
Simple. It's because your EBay sales pages are limited to one page. Therefore your images must be kept some place else on the web in order to be available for your HTML coding...

How to?
Well I am going to show where and how to stock your images in order to obtain it's URL that will be applied to your HTML code.

Where host?

Option 1
The first option is to take a Website like "Myspace" that will allow you to host images. What you must do from here on is obtain the URL "The web address" of your image. Now do a right click on the image and select view image... the image will open in a new page and all that will be left to do is copy & paste the web address. It's this URL that we will be using in the next page.

Option 2
An other method consists of finding an Image hosting Website... Simple! I have listed multiple sites in the link section of this page that will bring you strait to some great image hosting sites...The host's service will allow you to transfer your image onto their site and they will give you the URL where your image is.

When it comes to animations, it's what we call gifs, the file will be as such: "name.gif". Gifs are integrated into your page the same way as a picture and can serve to render your page more lively, just like my mean old fish below!
